The Art of Bordeaux

Fall fashion thrives on contrast in which deep hues meet light and softness meets structured silhouettes. For this look, I leaned into that ideology while having afternoon tea at the Waldorf Astoria.

This outfit revolved around Bordeaux, featuring a deep wine blouse with pleated sleeves with a matching wool hat. To offset the depth and mystery, I chose cream high-waisted tailored pants to elongate my silhouette.

As always, I couldn’t go without my pearl necklace, a timeless piece that coordinated beautifully with the pants. The gold and red earrings told a story of their own. I purchased them from a nearby halal supermarket, a hidden gem that sells Middle Eastern and Indian jewelry. I also wore a rose gold bracelet from Swarovski and a gold ring from TJMaxx with a pink gem. To add a playful edge, I wore a small, beaded bag with an ace card detail as a reminder that grace often comes from the cards you are dealt.
