Enjoyed the last bit of Spring at the Bon Air Rose Garden. I’ve seen so many photos of this beautiful garden and was excited when one of my photographer friends, Abigail (bystoryarcstudio.com), suggested that we have a photoshoot here. A friend of Abigail, Melissa (www.melissaglim.com), is a milliner who wanted me to model a few of her hats and I couldn’t say no.
Two hats in particular stood out because they were both red and I thought they would look perfect with the red flowers in the garden. My mom just so happened to pick up a white pearl purse with red and pink flowers on it that complemented the garden very well. I chose a flower petal ring and golden heels with pom-poms that resemble flowers.
I knew I was going to be surrounded by vibrant colors so I wore white to create contrast and to stand out against the roses. Fashion isn’t just about looking cute. It’s understanding how color, texture, and structure create harmony between yourself and your environment.
