Summer is my least favorite season of the year, but this year, August is off to a good start with a high of 80 degrees. This is cooler than average for August, so I couldn’t resist stepping out to enjoy this fake fall moment. Ralph Lauren recently came out with the Oak Bluffs collection, honoring the legacy of Black beachside communities near Martha’s Vineyard.
For this preppy look, I styled denim jeans with a white linen button-down shirt, a teal Kate Spade bag, and crocodile leather loafers. Even though I wasn’t near a body of water, I still decided to wear Sailing Day by Replica for today’s scent. Summer is also the season to ditch the flat irons and show off the curls.
